Limitations:
- There is no way for a 3rd party application to notify the user if it's not running. This is a platform limitation on iPhone OS 3.x and does not apply to iOS 4.0.
- Version 3.0 adds support for local notifications and scheduled popups (iOS 4.0 required). In the event that multiple notifications are sent at the same time, it is possible the device will only display the first one.
- Version 2.0 adds support for Apple's Push Notification Service (APNS) and transmits badge updates through WiFi and 3G, if available.
